Hi Hilloah,
Here are some pictures of of Gus and Jack (and Cameron) for you. The boys are wonderful and doing very well. No sneezes from Gus (or Jack) at all. We've been holding Gus up and listening to him but have heard nothing unusual. We will try stopping the medicine after Wednesday of this week.
Thank you agan for such amazing boys. They are the sweetest babies ever. (We may have to consider adding two new dwarf babies some day in the future!)

Hi Hilloah,
I wanted to send you some pictures of the two girls I took home from your rattery last October. I would have sent some sooner but my camera is awful and I just can't get good pics of them - but luckily a photographer friend of mine snapped some beautiful shots of them, so here they are! I also attached a photo of my older girl Peeve.
Ginger and Amy are easily two of the sweetest, best socialized rats I have ever had. Intros with Peeve went swimmingly, and all three sisters are now great friends. Amy (the black "irkshire") is a serious kisser - especially during belly scritches - and Ginger (the hairless) is quite the acro-rat - she loves to climb walls and dive into open shirt-necks wherever she can find them!
Thanks again for raising my babies so well! They are much loved by myself, my boyfriend Brad (now converted into a serious rat lover), and their big sis Peeve. I will definitely be coming back... as soon as I can find the room for more rats!

Greetings, Hilloah!
Tim and I are so happy with our girls, Beroe and Fiona, which we adopted from you in November. Here is a recent picture of Beroe:
(BTW-her parents were Hot Pie and Opal and her nickname is "Monkey Rat" as there is no place she can't get to!)
Thanks for all your help, Daniel N.

Hi Hilloah,
Thought you might like to see the about 18 month old boys. I can't even
tell you how much we love them, and are sold on boys. There are things I
love about both of them, but the boys are much less destructive. They are
so good, it is unreal.
Hope all is well with you and the Realm. Love, Kim

Hi Hilloah!
I just wanted to let you know that the rats are doing great… The blue is Stephani and the platinum is JoJo! They got along well with our “Cinnamon” right away! It was an easy transition after the 4 week quarantine.
Thank you again! Pam and Alyssa G.

Hi Hilloah-
Cheryl & I just wanted to thank you again for all of your help. We couldn't be happier with our new girls. Neither of us can believe how happy and healthy they are- so friendly and socialized. They are adjusting quite well to their new surroundings & seem to be bonding nicely. We have both had rats as pets for many years, but we've never seen anything like this.
Thank you!

I just recently adopted my second group of RRLM rats and I must say that they are exactly what I expected. Laid back, beautiful, and KISSY!! They are such a welcomed addition to my rattery I can not wait to see what beautiful babies they all make! I was so happy to see that I got a little fella with a Harley coat. I will definitely be adopting some more rats from Hilloah in the future.

Hi Hilloah -
We adopted two female dumbos (black self and Siamese seal point) from you last November and just wanted to let you know they are doing really well. They have the best temperaments and are the most lovable little creatures. Also, one of them is this month's Rat of the Month on MSN RatsRatsRats. :)

Happy November, Hilloah!!
You sold me some beautiful rats way back in April of this year.
I hope you are doing well!
I wanted to thank you for taking such good care of your rats.
I still have the three I adopted from you - they are THRIVING!!!!!!!!
And are the best behaved of any rats I've had in years.
If you're still in the market in another year or two I'll be looking you up - I have my hands full with what I have!

Jim and I adopted our first little ratties in February 2003 from Hilloah at Ratz Realm Rattery and are so impressed with the sweet, loving and gentle nature of our boys. We drove up to Pasadena intending to bring home our two Siamese dumbos, Charley and Ben that Hilloah had reserved for us. Instead, we came home with three boys because we just fell in love with the little black self rex we call Jerry.
We have had Charley, Ben and Jerry for a little over four months now and fall more in love with them as each day passes. Although they each have their own unique personality they all posses such a sweet, gentle and loving nature, we believe, because each baby is lovingly handled from birth.
We feel so very fortunate to have found Ratz Realm Rattery and Hilloah. Thanks to her commitment to breeding happy and healthy pet ratties, we have three of the most amazing little guys we could have hoped for. We highly recommend Ratz Realm Rattery for anyone who is looking for a loving, healthy and oh so cute little rattie to share their life with.

August 2000
I adopted my first three boys from Hilloah in July 1999. I had met her on AOL. Up until then I had always purchased my rats from pet stores. I had wanted to start getting them from a breeder but I did not know of any in my area.
The boys were born in June and I was counting down the days until they would be ready for me to pick them up. I was only planning on getting two but after I saw how cute and friendly they were, I ended up taking three home.
I have adopted 5 more rats from Hilloah since then. She is very knowledgeable about the care and breeding of rats. All of her rats live in large, clean cages with plenty of shelves and hammocks. Every rat I have adopted has had a wonderful personality. She takes great care in choosing the parents of the litters and breeds for health and temperament. She handles the babies from birth so they are very accustomed to people and make great pets. Every time I check on a new litter on her website, the reservations fill up fast.
I highly recommend Hilloah. She is a responsible breeder and all of her rats make great pets and companions.

October 2001
I have two male rats from Ratz Realm Rattery who are doing really well and who make me smile every day. I'm very glad with my choice and will try to explain how my expectations were fulfilled.
I brought my two guys home on October 19, 2001, and I've been absolutely delighted with them! They were gentle and friendly from the first day I got them and it really made it obvious to me that they had been used to getting a lot of attention.
I wanted to go with a breeder so the rats would be raised well and have a better chance at being healthy over the long run since there are, unfortunately, certain genetic illnesses that can afflict the poorly bred rat population.
Also, I know that at the pet stores, there is just too much traffic of rats coming and going (and they come from rat farms so there's no way to know how careless the breeding is), plus the store policy is that if the rats dies, you can get a refund but they don't want to attend to the health issues in their stock. So I wanted to deal with a breeder who was knowledgeable about health issues and breeding and takes health issues seriously.
I take it as a sign of confidence that Hilloah is very open and forthright with health information because it shows she's very conscientious and professional with her rattery, which is exactly what I was hoping for.
I originally chose Ratz Realm as the rattery to get my pets based on viewing the website. I thought that the pictures there indicated that the rats are kept with very high standards of care. I can tell you from visiting the rattery to pick up my two guys that I was right about the rats being kept very well. Everything is neat and clean, the rats have large, nice cages in their own room, and they all come bounding out of hammocks at the sound of Hilloah's voice (I could have sworn I saw one smiling. It must have been my imagination <g>).
Essentially, I wanted to avoid pet shops for ethical and for practical reasons and knew what I would ideally like to see in rats coming from a breeder and all my expectations were fulfilled. Nice feeling!
If you'd like to see my rats, take a look at my homepage:

I wanted to thank you from the bottom of my heart for the wonderful ratties I have gotten from you! Parker (7/30/2001), Lux (9/5/2001), Tony (9/4/2001), and Scarlet (9/4/2001) are so sweet, healthy, loving, and smart! They are by far the healthiest and best socialized rats I have ever gotten!
I am making you my #1 rat provider. I just am so happy that I have found someone who really puts a lot of time, energy, and love into developing perfect pet quality rats.
Thanks Again,

Subject: Simon, the new little blue dumbo dude (very mushy)
I'm head over heels in love. Simon came home with me yesterday.
I finally got a blue dumbo!! He's the cutest little dude, and super-social. He's so cute, I want to cry every time I see him. He just met me yesterday, and he already wants to come out and be with me when I go to his cage and softly call his name. He wants to stay out with me when it's time to go back in. He was with two of his brothers yesterday, and I just sat next to the bed in the rattery where they were playing until one of them adopted me. Simon sat on my shoulder and bruxed and fell asleep. Hilloah said he was eye-boggling, but I couldn't see it because he was sidled up to my neck. Last night he was performing dentistry on me and licking the insides of my lips. This morning during playtime on my bed, he was grooming my eyelashes. He Is SOOOO precious! I am smitten! And I'm done for now! NO MORE RATS! He will never replace Chong, but it looks like I have another squish in the making :-)
I highly recommend Fairy Tale Rattery and Ratz Realm Rattery if you're in southern California. These little guys were born at Fairy Tale Rattery, in Hesperia, way out in the boonies toward Las Vegas, and were brought to Pasadena to hang out with Hilloah at Ratz Realm for adoption this week. Both these ratteries hold, talk to, and play with pinkies from birth, so that when they open their eyes, they know who their human slaves are and come right to them en masse. This litter is related to one of Hilloah's blue dumbos, and Kellie at Fairy Tale Rattery found an unrelated blue dumbo for mating, and these little ones are adorable. Click on the link below to see my little dude with two of his brothers, and their sisters below. If you're in Southern California, Hilloah is having an open house this Saturday from 11am till 5pm, with lots of cuties for adoption. Follow the links on her site to email her for directions.
(Kea, you were right about Hilloah! She's a very sweet lady with great
ratties!)

Off to shower and play with Simon and spend time with my son.

Hi Hilloah,
I don't know if you remember me, but I adopted my rats from you a few months back. I came by with my husband, and we adopted a black and white hooded, dumbo rat and a large Siamese dumbo rat.
Well, anyway, I just wanted to update you and send you some pictures. We enjoy them so much. They are so different. The large one, Huey, spends most of the time hanging out on the sofa with my husband and I, while Oreo, runs around the loft while we are watching tv. Thanks again. Your babies are quite spoiled!!!!

Hi, Hilloah!
I just wanted to send you some pictures and a brief email telling you how delighted I am with the two female rats I purchased from you near the end of November, 2004. My stepkids and I have been celebrating the rats' 2nd birthday this past week. Both of my stepchildren have bonded with the rats since I introduced them to each other this past June. Annie and Brenna are smart little bundles of joy, making themselves fun for the children to play with and watch. Annie (Pansy's black-eyed white) has a very spunky and fearless personality while Brenna (Giselle's black-self dumbo) is very sweet and mellow. Thank you, Hilloah, for breeding such wonderful, good quality rats. I plan on buying more in the future when I visit California. We live in Utah now.
Thanks for everything! I hope all is well with you and your rattery.

Hi Hilloah,
This is Melissa , I adopted a dwarf girl from you in June (Feta.) I wanted to let you know that she is doing great. She is very adventuresome and also quite the acrorat! Also she is small but DESTRUCTIVE and has chewed holes in our sheets. We can't stay mad at her though, cause she's so darn cute! We love her so much. She makes us laugh and smile everyday. Thank you for bringing this joy into our lives.
--Melissa
P.S. The rats enjoy the sprout mix hugely!

Hi Hilloah,
Just thought you might like some pictures of the beautiful boys. As you can see we named the black one Benji, cuz he reminds us of Ben. Chuck wanted to call the fawn boys, Butch and the Sun Dance Kid, but we settled on Butch for the bigger one, and Sonny for the smaller. The Agouti is Bud, because he was, of course, the first one who made up with me, so I kept calling him my buddy all the way home from your house.
I was just looking on your site to get their baby pictures, and I cannot believe that Butch and Sonny came out of Dwarf parents. Wow. I did not realize that their parents are Dwarfs.
We love them dearly, and they are spoiled rotten. They know when they are fed, and when they get a little treat, and they won't leave me alone. And, they are almost totally box trained. Good boys. Can ya tell we are happy?
Thanks, Hilloah, Love to you and all of the Realm.
Kim and the boys.

Hilloah is by far the most loving pet owner I have ever encountered. Instead of treating her animals as accessories, she treats each as an individual with cares and needs that she can meet. I can personally attest to the kindness and love that she gives to her animals. I've had three rats from Ratz Realm: Tam, a retired breeder (not pictured); Adhira (the white girl in the background) and Fala (the lovely black rattie in the front). All three have been sweeter than sweet, with distinct personalities.
Hilloah is great at socializing the rats from birth, so that they become the sweetest, most affectionate rats being bred in the area. There really is no comparison. Never mind that the food mixes she makes help to create healthy, thriving ratties! I must say, I am very pleased.
Thank you, Hilloah, and rest assured that I will be back!

Dear Hilloah: Thank you so much for my beautiful rats Spike and Daisy. They are the sweetest, most adorable ratties in the whole world. Spike loves to give me kisses and hang out with me at my computer. Daisy is my little snuggle bug; she will sit on my shoulder for hours at a time. And because of Daisy's litter I have my beautiful little girl Lola who is quite the little troublemaker. She is full of mischief and loves to jump and climb on anyone and anything. You breed the best and most lovable ratties.
Thank you, Andrea

RatzRealm is the best rattery in the country.
As a happy, content rat owner of six, all from Hilloah's rattery, I can affirm that all her rats are breed with loving care, primarily dedicated to health and temperament. Whether you are a first time rat lover or a veteran of many years, Hilloah's rattery is the place to go. All her babies are loving, healthy and extremely sociable evidenced by my six. There is no more loving rat owner/breeder than Hilloah. I will forever visit Hilloah for my rats.

My two girls are just as perfect as they get -
They are so incredibly well behaved and social -
I never get tired of watching them - they can always
bring a smile to my face. And I must say - I
have never had a rat lick my mouth like a dog -
I find it most amusing. So once again - You truly
breed the sweetest rats!

Well, all is happy in the Hayes household with the two new Siamese girls. Introductions were a piece of cake, thanks to your wonderful tempered ratties. My rex girl and my hairless girl accepted them from the minute they entered the house. My smooth black girl Natalie put a few rules in place and within a matter of hours everyone was one big happy family. This was the easiest time I have ever had.
Everyone is already sleeping together, eating together and the babies are all over the elders. Watching the babies play, you just cant' help but have a smile on your face. Thanks for another wonderful two. Everyone that has seen the babies cannot believe how outgoing and social they already are. I give you all the credit. Well that is about it for now. Will update you with more later.
Remember, keep me in mind for two sisters of a hairless litter or rex litter. Thanks for everything. Take care.

I got Elizabeth (chocolate hooded hairless) late October 2001 from Ratz Realm Rattery in Pasadena California, and I'm very happy with her. She's a complete dear, active and inquisitive, but not too hyper.
I originally choose Ratz Realm Rattery to get my next rat from, because I was very impressed that Hilloah has lactating hairless lines. Keep up the wonderful work! I look forward to getting another baby from you (hopefully soon).

PS: I've attached a picture of Elizabeth outside with me. You can see just how tame and intelligent she is.

My name is Cathy, and my husband Bob and I adopted four sweet babies from Hilloah on June 2nd. She lives several hours from our home in Phoenix, but believe me, it was well worth the trip. We had planned to get one chocolate and two beige dumbo hairless, but when we got to her house, this one persistent little chocolate standard ear guy decided he wanted to live with us, too. He repeatedly came out to see me and we were hooked. We named him "Cooper" and he is a feisty little sweetheart. I've attached a picture of him here . . . isn't he adorable?
We named the other chocolate one "Jake" and the two beige ones are "Mr. Wrinkles" and "Mr. Crinkles" (aka "Mr. C") The other picture here is of all four of them.
We highly recommend Hilloah . . . she is a wonderful breeder. She socializes all of her ratties to be gentle, sweet, loving little babies and we instantly fell in love with our guys. She was very good about answering any questions we had and is a very nice person. If you want the best possible rats you can get, Hilloah's the person to talk to. We will always be grateful to her for our four little guys. And when the time comes that our guys all go over the "Rainbow Bridge," you can bet we'll be back in Pasadena to adopt from Hilloah again.

Hi Hilloah,
Here are just a few pictures of the girls we adopted from you in March. They are such a joy for our family and especially for our daughter, Allyson. She has learned such responsibility from having them and we all enjoy playing with them.
We have discovered that "waffle blocks" can be formed into mazes and towers for them to crawl in and around, and they can be taken apart and washed easily.
Our summer project will be a "rat grotto" made out of a tall melamine bookcase with lots of ladders, digging boxes, etc.... Just wanted to share this with you.

I purchased my second hairless rat, Gidget, from Ratz Realm. I chose Ratz Realm because of the time and effort that Hilloah puts into the care of her ratties. She has a passion for her pets and loves each one individually. She continually updates her web site with new pictures, new information and new ideas. She personally handles every rat daily so that they are affectionate, socialized pets when the new owner picks them up. Her rattery is a happy, healthy, fun place to breed rats.
Gidget was born in September, and Hilloah delivered her to me on October 14, 2001. She is an adorable beige, hairless, dumbo girl who has proven to be perfect in every little ratty way. She has such character! She is also beautiful and healthy. I would recommend (and have recommended!) Ratz Realm Rattery to anyone who is interested in exploring the world of ratties as a new family pet, or who just wants to add to their ratty family!

Re: Ratz Realm Best Rattery in Town!!!
I would like to take a few minutes of anyone's time to say some words about Ratz Realm and Hilloah's Rats. I have three beautiful babies from three different litters from her. My Rats have a wonderful temperament and have been healthy since the day I picked them up in October 2001. I have "Hudini" a black self dumbo boy born 9-5-01 out of "Hashimoto & "Sara Lee's" litter. I have "Saboo" a black self hairless boy born 9-4-01 out of "Sabin" & "Babette's" litter and "Darcy" a black self hairless girl born 8-31-01 out of "Buddy" & "Fifi's" litter.
Anyone who knows Hilloah can tell you of her love for her Ratties and there Health!! As for myself I look forward to January 2002 when she will continue to breed more beautiful ratties. I live in Orange County and it is worth the drive to be able to get such quality rats. I highly recommend her rattery and will be the first on her list for her upcoming litters.
