Now that we are approaching the end of Spring there is no better time to start some of my easy Garden crafts for kids.
These are a good opportunity to get your children outdoors as much as possible. I love time outdoors as it is so important for both physical and mental wellbeing.
They help kids learn about the importance of gardening and how we need fruit and vegetables for nutrition.
Encouraging kids to make these gardening crafts will help them develop a healthy association with fruit and vegetables.
It will also develop their love of nature and flowers, and provide them with an introduction to different ecosystems. Of course I have an extensive list of flower crafts for kids if anyone should wish to focus directly on them.

These easy garden crafts will keep kids busy outdoors during Spring and Summer This easy Gardening craft for kids lets them create an adorable Minnie Mouse planter pot. How about collecting some rocks from the garden, painting them and then putting them back outside! You could use them to decorate! This easy tutorial shows you how to use your fingers to paint flowers on rocks! This gardening craft with paper plate features lots of activity in the form of a flying bee and butterfly. Use my free templates and craft process to make your own live garden complete with paper flowers. I absolutely love decorating old tins and pots and recycling them into something fabulous! Crafting and being environmentally at the same time is a good skill to teach kids! This cute flower pot craft lets you turn an old tin can into a beautiful pot, which can be gifted to Mom or Grandmom! A totally different flowerpot craft this time, but one that makes use of old or broken CDS! You just need to cut them up and stick them onto a pot. Make a beautiful pipe cleaner flower bouquet which will not wilt or die! Although these are not real flowers there is no reason why you cannot display them proudly in a vase! Of course you could make them with any type of statue or small toy figure too if the kids wanted to do this. These are brilliant for indoor and outdoor decor. You can have a specific type of design you have in mind for your planters or you can let the children freestyle. This is particularly good for little kids! This crafter kept her cinder blocks on her balcony but I would probably keep mine on the outdoor patio. I can imagine they would get lots of compliments. Any of my suggestions can be attempted by young kids as long as they have a parent supervising.
They are great for making memories and giving your children a positive outdoor experience.
My son has now started to spend lots more time outdoors since he started doing some of these easy gardening activities for kids.
