Melted Snowman Chocolate Bark

This Melted Snowman Chocolate Bark is incredibly easy to make and would be a great activity to do with kids of all ages. The bark is also a nice alternative for Christmas Cookie Swaps!

I totally fell in love with Olaf from Frozen – and the song “In Summer” is one of my favorites. Unfortunately, we all know the reality of an Olaf in the summer!

It doesn’t matter if it is 32 degrees or 80 degrees, either way it is a fun activity and turns into a delicious edible art project!

Play around with different types of candy and just have fun with it!

  1. Melt candy discs either in microwave or over a double broiler.
  2. Spread chocolate on a cookie sheet covered in either a silicone baking mat or wax paper.
  3. Press the snowman candy onto the melted chocolate immediately and before it begins to set.

TIPS

Couple of tips when making this chocolate bark.

  • Be sure to line the baking sheet otherwise the chocolate could stick. It is also much easier to remove it from the pan when you are ready to cut it up.
  • To cut the perfect chocolate snowman pieces, I used a very sharp knife to score the chocolate and used the knife to guide the “break”. I would hold the knife where I wanted the break after scoring it and then “broke” the chocolate by pulling it up against the knife.
  • To make the Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup hat, just cut the bottom portion of the Reese’s from the top portion and then slightly un-align them! See the photo below.
