Weapons are an essential part of Sea of Thieves. The weapons can use them to defeat enemies or even other players. A player is allowed to possess two weapons simultaneously; they can change these weapons through the armory available on the ships, the Ferry of Damned, and at the weaponsmith’s shop.
If you are a new player, you will have access to the classes Sailor Eye of Reach, Sailor Pistol, Sailor Cutlass, and Sailor Blunderbuss from the beginning. The three weapons Flintlock, Eye of Reach, and Blunderbuss contain five shots of ammo simultaneously, which can be reloaded after usage. You can refill your ammo in an Ammo crate or Ammo chest.

Using Two Weapons
This tactic can be very effective in terms of damage. The tactic is designed in the way that instead of using a gun with a sword, you will be using two guns. However, this decreases your accuracy rating by a lot but is very effective at close range and significantly increases your damage rating.
The tactic can be used with a shotgun and a sniper rifle, giving you the ability to annihilate your enemy both at close and long-range totally.
Although it increases your damage by a lot, it can also cause you to use double the ammunition, which is a drawback making the tactic useful only in desperate situations. Another problem the tactic faces is that it restricts the movement of the player; you can no longer use sword combinations and are prone to sword attacks as well.

However, this tactic is useless if an enemy is a ladder guarding because you can be easily spotted if so. The more advanced type of boarding will help you against enemies who are ladder guarding.
You can attack them by luring them into shooting at you while you are on the ladder and quickly dodging the bullets. Once you dodge their bullet, quickly climb the ladder again and launch a counterattack against them by shooting. Another tactic is that you use a bomb and disorient the enemy. As soon as the bomb hits them, you can quickly climb up the ladder and kill the enemy.
