Is Mary still pregnant from Selling Sunset? The answer is no. Mary revealed in a conversation with Amanza in Episode 6 of Selling Sunset Season 7 that she suffered a miscarriage with her and Romain’s baby. Mary explained that she learned that she was no longer pregnant after she and Romain went to an ultrasound appointment to listen to the heartbeat and find out the sex of the baby.
“We thought it’d be an exciting day, and we were excited to go. She started doing the ultrasound, and I’ve seen that look before,” Mary said. She started doing it and she was like, ‘Um… OK, why don’t we do a vagin*l one? This one isn’t really working. I’ll be able to see better.’ I already got that sinking feeling, and I’m like, ‘You don’t see the heartbeat?’ She’s like, ‘Um, n-no.'” Mary added, “I just feel numb right now. I go from crying to just numb.”
Mary continued in a confessional interview, “I don’t know what the normal time frame is to get over something like this, and I just keep moving forward and trying to put a smile on my face and act like everything’s OK, but it doesn’t feel OK. sh*t.”
Back in the scene, Amanza asked Romain how he was doing, to which he explained that he wanted Mary to feel better before him. “I want her to be good. Before me,” he said. Mary added in her confessional interview, “Romain’s everything. I love him so much. He’s the best husband ever. One day, we’ll be able to have a family together. I hope.”
Mary revealed she and Romain were pregnant with their first child together in Episode 1 of Selling Sunset Season 7. “I don’t know if you realized, but I’m a little busty today. I just thought I was going to have my period, but I haven’t. And I’m five days late, so I stopped to get a pregnancy test from the store when I was out because I know we werre trying, but I don’t want to get my hopes up,” Mary told Romain. “So I’m going to go take a test.” Romain added, “But don’t look at it before me. We’ll look at it together,” to which Mary responded, “Meet me in the living room. We’ll wait for the answer together.”
After Mary peed on her pregnancy test, she and Romain reunited in their living room, where they learned she was pregnant. “I’m not worried. I’m nervous in a way. I just don’t know which way because I thought things happened before and then I’m not [pregnant], and now I’m like, ‘It’s going to take way more time to get pregnant’ at my age,” Mary said. Once Mary and Romain learned she was pregnant, Romain pulled Mary to him and gave her a hug. “Let’s get to the doctor right away,” Mary said, to which Romain responded, “We’ll have a super baby. Don’t worry.”
In a confessional interview, Mary explained how she felt when she learned she and Romain were expecting their first child. I’m so excited. Romain and I did not think that we’d be able to get pregnant this fast. I’m over the moon,” Mary said. Back in the scene, Mary and Romain FaceTimed Amanza to tell her Mary was pregnant. “We’re having a baby! Oh my God! That’s gonna be the cutest baby on the frickin’ planet,” Amanza said. “Let’s just start there.”
In a confessional interview, Amanza talked about how happy she was to learn Mary and Romain were having a baby. “It’s going to be so good because it’s going to heal her,” Amanza said. “Oh my God, I’m getting emotional. I’m just so excited for her to experience it the way that she deserves to.” She continued referencing Mary’s son from a previous relationship, “I mean, we love Austin, obviously. But she was a baby when she had Austin, and she’s traumatized from that experience. It’s going to be so good. It’s going to show her and help her believe that she actually is an amazing mom.”

Mary confirmed in an interview with People in November 2023 that she and Romain are still together and credited her for helping her through the “emotional” and “physical” loss of their baby. She explained that she and Romain learned she was pregnant after a trip to Bali with Domain in December 2022. She suffered her miscarriage nine weeks later.
“When we were in Bali, we were very relaxed and had a great time,” Mary said, adding, “We were just in a very zen state of mind, and it was just incredible. We were so excited and I really didn’t think about the possibility — I should have — but I didn’t really think about the possibility of the pregnancy not going through.”
She also explained why she wasn’t in Selling Sunset Season 7 as much. “I’m not really in it [the season] quite as much and around the other girls, and I just removed myself from stressful situations,” she said. “Instead of being in the middle, mediating everybody else’s problems, I took a step back from being a manager. I just reduced the stress in my life and made sure I was lightly working out. Didn’t want to overdo it, but getting an exercise, eating very healthy, did a lot of yoga and meditation. It was just trying to take care of myself as best as possible.”
Mary also credited Romain for helping her through the period after the miscarriage, which included a septic miscarriage, a uterine infection that happens one to two days after the miscarriage itself. The situation required Mary to have a procedure called a dilation and curettage where tissue from inside the uterus is removed. “I can’t ask for a better partner,” she said. “He’s just very, very thoughtful and sensitive to the whole situation, and he just tried to take care of me the best [way] possible, and I’m like, honey, you’re going through this too.”
Mary first revealed she had a miscarriage in an Instagram video in April 2023. “We were in Bali, we got pregnant and, unfortunately, that didn’t work out. And on top of the miscarriage, [I] also apparently had what they called septic miscarriage, so I had to go in for surgery for that,” she said. “The reason why I’m speaking out now is because I do realize how common this is and how many people go through this, and it is not easy,” she said. “I needed a minute because there are so many eyes on me and everyone judges and everything, and it has been rough to say the least, but there’s still hope.”
She continued, “I’m gonna continue to share [my journey] because we’re going to keep trying, and I’m going to leave it at that. I’m gonna continue to share it, and we’re going to have very good news very soon. If any of you guys are also going through it, please know you’re not alone and we’re gonna get there.”
She captioned the video, “It’s not always sunshine and butterflies, and that is ok. I wanted to share this in the hopes of letting others know they are not alone. I promised I would be truthful and keep you guys updated. I have been asked some questions, and finally found it within me to address this. We won’t be giving up… and if this message speaks to you in any way or you are feeling down, helpless, alone… please know we are in this together. Hang in there…”

Who is Mary’s son from Selling Sunset? Mary has one child, a son named Austin Babbitt, rom a previous relationship when she was 15 years old. “I had my son, Austin, 26 years ago. I was 15 when I got pregnant. Obviously, not a planned pregnancy,” Mary said in Episode 1 of Selling Sunset Season 7. “His dad was out of the picture within the first year, and it was difficult being a teenage, single mom. I made so many mistakes just trying to get by and not knowing what I was doing and it scared me to ever have another child without having my sh*t together basically.”
Mary shared a rare Instagram photo of her and Austin for Mother’s Day 2022, where she revealed that her son had graduated from the Air Force. “Best Mother’s Day ever! Just spent time with my son at his #Airforce bootcamp graduation. Mary also shared an Instagram photo of her and Austin in May 2020 of them hanging out at a pool in Paradise Valley, Arizona, where he lived at the time. “Such an amazing day hanging with my son while in Arizona. Missed this guy so much!! 💕💕💕 #sellingsunset #familytime #motherslove #misshim #love #motherson #poolday,” she captioned the post. In an interview with Screen Rant in 2020, Mary explained that Austin and Romain got along, but Romain isn’t a father figure to him. “They get along really well. Austin lives in Arizona and goes to school, but Romain’s isn’t a father role. Austin doesn’t need that. He’s a grown man,” she said.
Austin also walked Mary down the aisle at her and Romain’s wedding on October 12, 2019. “It was our dream wedding,” Mary told People in 2020. “Neither of us are big, showy kind of people, and we just wanted the people closest to us, where it just felt sincere and comfortable.” “So that’s what we did.”
